Week 6 : Task 3

You can wake up 20 minutes than you normally do so that you can have more time to get ready or you can hit snooze and be prepared to get ready in acouple of minutes. Also be prepared the night before, like washing clothes, ironing, and laid out that way you can be done faster. You can also mutitask like making your lunch for the next day while making dinner. Know where you are going. Make sure You get directions before you go somewhere that you have never been before. Expect the unexpected, that also goes with being prepared. call ahead if you are going to be late so that the person that is waiting on you can know whats happening. And save your absences until you really need them, like if you are sick, or you have car trouble.
If I became overwhelmed with obligations then I would take everything that I had to do one at a time then that will help me get back on track like how Im doing taht work that I was suppose to do then go to the next week ahead of time so that i can be on track for the next week.

Week 11: Task 1

They told me that I was Miss Manners. They also said that cell phone users as considerate as I am few and far between in this country of 171.2 million cell phone subscribers. The public appreciates not hearing the intimate details of my date the night before, and the fact that I don't answer my phone in the company of others does not go unnoticed. I use the environmental settings on my phone so as not to disrupt, I excuse myself when I need to make or receive an important call, and I talk at a low, unobtrusive level. While not one to draw attention to myself, be proud. Then politely call or text myfamily, friends, and coworkers and pass on my cell phone manners knowledge.

Week 10 : Task 3

I really dont talk that much at my placement I just listen to whats said and do it, so basiclly im saying I dont really use my communication skills. I' ve learned that when you are a nurse everything has to be accurate and you dont have room to make misstakes. The positibe thing I have learned from my service learning is that everyone helps out everyone, that means they will help you out the first time so that you will know what to do the second time. I havent had a negative experience but the positives just keep rolling in. I look forward to answering the phones again.

Week 10: Task 2

Well I really dont have good communication skills because Im really not a peoples person. I like to be alone in my room most of the time, and when I do go out its mostly by myself. Its not that I dont like people its just that Im better off by myself. Peace and quiet is what I long for and if there is a lot of people in one place then there is not a lot of peace and quiet now is there? So I need to work on my communication skills.

Week 9: Task 2

When things got bad in my life I use to act on it in a negativly way. Like when people use to talk about me or say something wrong to me then I use to get mad and say something back or do something that they wouldnt like, but now that Im getting older then I react in an adult and positive way. Now when people say something I just let it go and dont pay attention to them because getting mad is a waste if my my time. And also I dont get mad at people anymore Ive just dissappointed in there ways.
When I walk into my work place I always come in with a smile even if I am having a bad day. The reason why I do that is because if your mad at someone or something you cant take it out on the people that didnt do anything to you, thats just mean and thats not me. I want people to show me the same respect that I show them so if I dont show people and respect then how do I expect to get respect back?
The women in my family have a good attitude twords everything so thats where I get my good attitude from. They are always smiling and if anything makes them made they dont take it out on everyone else. I have learned a lot of things from them and I hope that I am going to learn a lot more.

week 8: Task 3

What I have learned about being a nurse is that you have to have a lot a patience and you also have to do alot of writing and typing. Its alot but I think That I can handle it. If ou are going to become a nurse then you have to really be a peoples person and you have to like to help people. I really dont like being around people all the time so that is something that I have to work on and I also need to work on how to be a people person because I am very quiet when I first meet someone.
I have had a lot of positive experiences like when I first started answering the phones. I love to talk on the phone so that was a very nice thing for them to let me do. I havent really had any negative experiences other than there is a lot of work that has to be done and believe it or not but Im not very good at doing a lot of work. I look forward to answering the phones next week. Answering the phones are so cool.

Week 8 : Task 2

Chemical Reactivity hazards

Chemicals react when they are exposed to other chemicals or exposed to physical conditions. Chemica;s play a very big role in the making of many materials, and food products we use daily. Whe chemicals are not used properly they can have harmful or even deadly reactions. These reactions can include injured people, or damage to the body, or enen internal organs.

Most chemical hazardous releases have resulted in fires, explosions, toxic, and/or high-energy events when chemical reactions have gone bad. Managing safe chemical reactions is the key to chemical manufacturing industry and very important to empoyee health and safety.

Week 8 : Task 1

I really havent thought about My service learning place as a heath hazard but if you think about it there are somethings that are not safe at the office where I work. For instence almost every room that I go to has a window in it, and if we have a tornado or something when I am there then The windows might break and could all be dead. If you really think about it then you can get you hand stappled on accident most people really dont think about that. But other than that I really cant think of anyway else that people can get injured in the place where I volunteer.

Week 7: Task 1

Well I havent had a job yet but I am volunteering and I do things like alphabetize papers, copy things, mail thingd, answer phones, and a lot of office work. I also have a lot of people that i work with so i am good with people.
